Spitfire over Bournemouth

Was walking the dog along the prom between Sandbanks and Bournemouth when a Spitfire made two low passes. It looked like a two seater but the sun made it difficult to see. Most people stopped and watched due to the stunning noise it made. Does anyone have any idea why it flew over today
