I think the speed limits are because the central barrier is now just a row of cones as they prep the crossover points
15th November 2021 - 22nd November 2022, main Westbound exit from Ringwood will be closed.
Any traffic that wishes to head west will need to join the A31 and head East to the Poulner exit over the flyover and come back down the slip and head West from there.

Preventing artics from parking up on the slip road outside the petrol station, as their idiot drivers went into the petrol station shop should be the next priority. Seems to be progressing at a fair old rate with a few overnight westbound closures in August to install the 45 meter supports.
And, by all accounts, on target for being reopened sometime in November.
Probably a bit late now but watch out for the 'speed camera' that occasionally appears just as you exit the roadworks before the Verwood junction. Not sure how official it is but probably best not to try and find out.

the notorious hotspot for a camera van is a bit further up the A31 as you drive out of St Leonard's before the Starbucks on the left hand side And, by all accounts, on target for being reopened sometime in November.

There is now a different one inside the roadworks, just as you leave the works and cross back over Westbound occasionally.
