I'm driving from Scotland to Bristol with a 1 year old boy, and while he'll sleep half the time we'll need some stops where he can get out and roll around for a bit.

Any good services/stops on the M6 that I should aim for, even if they're a mile or two off the motorway?

Yeah I've been stopping at Tebay ever since the £1 National Express bus stopped there when I was doing Manchester to Glasgow a lot ten years ago, although they don't sell the pirate molasses flapjacks any more. Still enjoy a good roadkill pie though. smile

I was thinking more of some kind of attraction/softplay thing where we could stop for a decent amount of time but in the event he slept 3+ hours each way so a normal services stop was all that was needed, and it meant the total journey time was shorter. Trentham monkey forest was an option but maybe for when he's a bit older.

Stafford was also quite nice, trees and a landscaped pond.
