Anyone from Bury?

I know I'm not but I'm starting work there soon and need some info on the area!

I'll be working in Fairfield hospital in maternity mainly aswell as covering the surrounding area when on community.

Really just interested to know what its like to get to and park (and does anyone know what the unoforms are like!!?!)

Thanks - I know nothing about the area or hospital! Seems to be one of the few trusts without a web site too!
Think after my exams and when I have my car I'll have to go on a few trips there and to the uni.

Was talking to someone about Prestwich today. She thinks it might be easier for me to park there and get the metro link to Salford. I'm really not well up on the area at all so wouldn't have a clue what times/prices/distances are!

size13 - yes I will be going to salford uni.

Will still be living in Preston but doing placements in Bury so will be well travelled in 3 years!

chim450 - I wanted Hope Hospital as it would have been easier to live away but it wasn't to be!

Any idea what the uniforms are like there????!

Think I will have to get a PH sticker now!

god couldn't imagine doing a 12 hour shift in stilletoes, let alone trying to deliver a baby in a mini skirt!!

No sticker as yet as it would have gone in my mums car...not my own! Will get into the case!
