A new thread, as people (Spontaneous Bob) were getting confused! I have a provisional booking for us and will need to confirm before the end of this week.

Venue:- Tiger Tiger, The Light, 117 Albion St, Leeds LS2 8DY
We will be staying here all evening.

Date:- Saturday 20th November 2004

Dress Code:- Smart Casual, whatever that means!
I’m assuming that trainers and blue demin are a nono, of course anything in Burbery check is de rigueur!!

Meeting Time:- I suggest we all aim to meet for a pre-dinner drink (or three) by 7:30 at the latest.

I have an area reserved for us in the Kaz bar for our pre-dinner drinks where you can take advantage of their happy hour from 5pm-7.30pm. (Half-priced drinks and bottles of wine, reductions on bottles of champagne)

Carriages:- Chucking out time is 2:00am Keeeeeebab. As there will be at least 8 of us staying at my house, I’m going to look into pre-booking transport to and from Leeds. Stretch Hummer anyone……...? If anyone else would like a taxi booking please shout and I’ll see what I can do. There are a couple of taxi ranks, but you will have to queue if you leave after 11pm.

Seating for Pie Eating at 8:15 to 8:30
Dinner will be in the Brasserie Restaurant, We can keep our table all night so those that don’t want to party can sit with a few drinks and indulge in PetrolHedonism. Alternatively for those who want to throw shapes, there are 5 bars and 2 dancefloors, playing everything from 80’s classics (I am assured there won’t be anything too cheesy) through to current dance music.

I hope to get us access to the VIP bar, in essence this means you won’t have to queue to get drinks along with half the population of Leeds. I’ve told them we’re a bunch of sport car owners who expect the best!

Parking :- For anyone who wants to drive there is a large very secure car park underneath. I have left the Tuscan there many times without problem. Lots of guards, cameras and wide parking bays. Do so at your own risk, blah, blah, blah

THE IMPORTANT BIT....!!!
In the same format as last year, I will pay a deposit of £15.00 per head by credit card. If your name is on the list and you don’t come on the night, you will owe ME £15.00. Cancellations upto 14 days before.

might be worth booking a Holiday Inn or whatnot, save the hassle of a cab .

There's still a double at Chez_Chim. I won't be offended if you want to stay in town though. I appreciate that at 25 minute cab journey home isn't everyones cup of tea.

Chim450 added to the other post, not this one

If it all falls through can I squeeze in somewhere between WH and DrB?

No rush to confirm, I need to let them have the final numbers about a week before. Um, your sleeping arrangements may be a bit cosy, but I'm sure we'll be able to sort something out!

Ah, a new name has slipped in unnoticed! And by the sounds of his profile sounds like our kinda person...

He is, I stalked him in Homebase car park a week or so after he bought his Tuscan in order to point him in this direction. He works in a mental institution, so he should fit in perfectly.

Hello Ray!

...how about booking the table a bit later so we can do a couple of bars before hand?

Completely happy to change the plans, I was just a little concerned about finding a bar where 26 people will be able get served at 8pm on a Saturday night. The bars closest to Tiger Tiger are Bar Riza (part of Jongleurs) and the Life Bar. Bar Riza may be okay (ish), but I supect the Life Bar will be packed, 'tis very popular. On the other hand, if people don't mind a short(ish) walk we should be able to find somewhere else. Anyone have any suggestions/preferences?

Tiger Tiger has 5 separate bars, we could have a drink in each before we eat.

Just a thought, I can change the table booking if required, so people who have their party pants on can go to a few bars before meeting up with the rest of the group.

Can't please all the people etc.....

Lisa, we will have a table in the restaurant for the majority of the evening, no need to worry about the

Would they let us have the table at 7.30 to order at 9?
We already have an area in a bar with tables reserved for us. I can easily change the time we eat.

burriana500 said:
do have a spot allocated for me, ...what to do car wise...
I thought I had sent you an email to say that your bed was still available, you were on the original list posted when you were away Hooning.

You can either leave your car at Chez_Chim and travel in with the rest of us, I'm sure we could put it in the garage if you're worried about it. If you want to leave your car in town I am sure there will several people heading south towards the M1 on Sunday morning that could do the extra half-mile to drop you into town. Actually, scrap that, P'bert will be the only one with a spare seat (possibly Rods too, if Kaz doesn't come), everyone else has a two-seater and both occupants will be in the car. If it comes to it I can take you into town on Sunday, it's no trouble.

I'm going to organise the transport this weekend, a minibus seems the most sensible option. Although I still want to see what the stretch hummer looks like. I am joking, I think

Tonto, we should be able to drop you in Meanwood on our way back from town, assuming you're near to one of the main routes?

Easiest to leave car at yours please.
How many of us for the mini bus will there be? Might not be enough to make a stretch worth while, but the Hummer would be a giggle!

There will be 8 of us on the way in (assuming people want to come to Chez_Chim to leave cars and bags) and 9 on the way home. Add an extra 1 if Mrs Rods can make it. If we get a minibus rather than a stretch there may be room for the-gopher & The Simples as they live in the same direction.

Will around and report back.

No rush to let me know Rob. I'm sure we could add an extra one to the booking upto a couple of says before if required, it tends to be cancellations they beef about! I'll include Kaz in the travel arrangements in the hope that she can come along. The hire cost will be the same whether there are 8 or even 12 of us, so it's not a problem if you let me know nearer the time.
