The Motorist - Sherburn

I'm off to Wheels up North at The Motorist in Sherburn tomorrow.

Anyone else from PH heading over? I've not been there before but it looks like they're putting on plenty of events; hopefully it'll become a bit of a Yorkshire Caffeine & Machine.

Really enjoyed my visit today. They've done the place to a very high standard and it's always great to be around car people. A really eclectic mix of machinery on display.

That's very disappointing to hear. there are LOTS of signs telling people to drive slowly on the access road as they clearly don't want to be held responsible for tttish behaviour. Perhaps they should state that any cars being driven irresponsibly will be banned from the premises. tts will be tts and it would be a shame if they ruin it for everyone.

Mrs. M is originally from Sherburn. She is very easy-going and never moans about anything I want to do but she would be livid if I ever suggested that I might get a motorbike having witnessed death and maiming on an almost weekly basis from a very young age thanks to people running out of skill at high speed around Squires.

I've never been to C&M but from what I've seen they seem to manage things quite well. Perhaps the owners of The Motorist could pay them a visit and take on some tips.

So you have no idea one venue copes with this issue, but suggests another venue consults with them about it.

Bizarre - or a poor marketing attempt by C & M.

Anecdotally, they seem to have the same issues.

Wow, that was a bit spiky! Anecdotally from what I'd heard, C&M had been doing a similar thing to The Motorist for a lot longer and must have managed the problems that come with it. I was just suggesting that it could be worth comparing notes and sharing their findings to the benefit of all parties. It's not like they're direct competitors.
