Spotted on the A65 between Skipton and Settle on Sunday
Metallic grey mk 5 Golf GTI.
Didn't get the number plate, but it was 07.

He'd pulled over a bike and a Grinnal scorpion (i think).

Keep an eye out People wink

There's a number of white Vectras, usually on or around the Bingley by-pass, copping people with the aid of the 'trick' 50mph speed limit that exists on that stretch of road. Two of the Vectras are the type with the sloping back (ie, not boot) with the reg nos YK06FXV and YA04XAP and I think there's a third sloping back one and an estate too. They all have a bodykit and loads of ariels on the roof and when I see them they're usually driving like tossers... ironically.
Yeah, seen them wink

Ahh, that 50 mph limit....what's all that about Then ??

Haven't read full post so don't know if already mentioned but
yesterday a BLUE Vectra on a 57 plate had pulled a car outside
the Bankfield so just after the 50 limit area of the Bingley By Pass

I was only travelling at the speed limit as had passed 5 police Bikes
sat in a layby near Skipton and I was at full warp factor with re heat on eek

Richard
That Vectra seems to be always around there Richard.cop

Nearly every time I go past...some poor sod has been pulled just after the 50 stretch.

Must be a really dangerous bit of road that....what with all the pedestrians and stuff! scratchchin

The dark Vectra spends many a weekend cruising between Saltaire roundabout and the Bingley by-pass roundabout. It seems to be doing ANPR checks rather than going after speeding motorists. There's been a tow truck in close proximity from time to time too. I've seen it several times setting off after and pulling over what appear to be otherwise innocent motorists.
I've seen the tow truck a few times too.

Fair enough if they're catching people through ANPR checks though...thumbup

Such a frustrating road, it's almost as if they added all the extra solid white lines to create more opportunities to catch people at the rare places you can overtake legally and safely.

They love to hang out on the Settle bypass for the same reason I guess, that's if they aren't protecting a tiny village with 3 houses near the road from the peril of someone going through at 35mph.

Sorry, I'm bitter, I got caught on the A65 too wink
Another Settle bypass victim here too. frown

Just the same circumstances as the post above. About 7pm on a Sunday evening when the chance to finally get past the dawdlers arose....

But, around the next corner, there he is, standing with his speed gun pointing at me...

It was a fair cop, I suppose.....irked
