I had to go to Cockermouth yesterday and seeing as it was a fine day and I know the A66 is being dug up at Appleby I took the TVR and went cross country. What a grest decision.

Bedale-Leyburn-Hawes-Sedburgh-Kendal-Windemere-Ambleside-Grassmere-Rydal-Keswick-Cockermouth and then back again. Apart from the interminable roadworks around Windemere it was great. Stopped to eat a sandwich on the way back near Sedburgh - fantastic views for miles in the sunshine. Didn't see one copper or scamera.

God we're lucky to live up here.
