Got £4k worth of alloys here, brand spankers.
Need a place that does those cool low profile, black, cut to length 3M wheel weights rather than the rubbish Zinc/Pb jobs, and can fit tyres without scratching wheels.
As long as these two requirements are met I will travel anywhere in Scotland to get it done!
Anyone know of any place that does the above?

Try these guys:
http://www.clcm-autotyre.co.uk/

They are just off the A720 at Sighthill. Give them a call and explain what you're after - they are a good bunch.

I used these guys a for my wheel alignment after a few folks on here recommended them, no idea if they fit tyres (given their name I would have though so!) but definitely worth a call to find out, genuine car guys and friendly too.

Skidz have a good name. They did stop fitting hifi equipment that they didn't supply. Will they be happy fitting tyres to wheels they didn't supply?

RD Tyres in Springburn https://rdtyres.co.uk/

Appears to be a scabby old tyre place, but Gerry who runs it is a great bloke who takes great care with your wheels.

I’ve used him for 10+ years with all manner of wheels including several delicate polished rims.

Uses cloths and protectors on his tyre machine and actually sets your tyres to the correct pressure and torques your wheels which appears to be a skill devoid of any other tyre fitter.

Another recommendation for RD Tyres in Glasgow.

Have been using them for a number of years and I cannot fault them.

I was going to mention them but assumed you went elsewhere! They are in Port Glasgow and I like them - they have Hunter road force balancing kit, which removed a high-speed vibration from my 911 no one else could. I’ve used them quite a few times for balancing and proper tracking

Autotec are the only place I use for wheel balancing, their Road Force Balancing machines are brilliant.

They charge their standard hourly rate, can't remember what it is though. Probably at least one hour if not more to do all four tyres.

Thanks for getting back to me

Do you remember how much it was roughly for the hourly rate?

Cheers

I had a quick look and I was charged £65 last time for doing just the front wheels. It did take them about an hour.
