Sprint Season Starts This Week
Discussion
Who is going to Kames this weekend ?
I have entered both days but have not received confirmation that they have enough entries, I know entries were very low a couple of weeks ago so hope there has been a flurry of activity filling in and posting entries off.
I hope is is dry, I don't cope well with damp tracks !

Kames is in Ayrshire, just outside Muirkirk which is between Douglas and Cumnock on the A70, good track, a bit narrow but it has undulations which make it more interesting than the flat airfield tracks - IMO.
John
Camping again and at this time of year !
I will be in a hotel somewhere not too far from Kames, if Eric (Kiltie) gets round to booking something.
Look forward to meeting up with you and the rest of the guys again.

A bit far away just to pop down for the day, might wait till there is one closer to home.
I see you are in Perthshire, it takes me around 3-1/2 hours from Stonehaven to Kames (towing)so depending on where in Perthshire you are it shouldn't take too long, I guess Doune or maybe Knockhill would be the only sprint/hillclimb venues closer to you.
Anyway if you make it along come and have a chat, there are a few PHers compete at these events, I am no 34 this year.

So how did it go?
Everybody manage to drive with frostbitten toes???
It was cold, very cold, both days, Saturday cold and wet, Sunday cold with snow flurries, but despite that some impressive times were set.
I had a fairly crap weekend, lost all sparks during my third practice on Saturday and couldn't trace the fault -finally got it running on Sunday morning thanks to John Stevenson who brought his laptop and found the problem in minutes.
So I was a very happy chappy on Sunday morning, less happy in the afternoon when I spun off and holed my sump, and not knowing it was holed trailed oil across the track and right through the paddock - Sorry Guys !
