I was out for a meal in town last night (Royal China, Holburn, big thumbs up) and I was heartened to see the number of petrolheads on the go.

Cars I spotted last night:
Blue Gallardo moseying down Union Street.
Blue 06 reg Exige
Dark green, tide, almost Cal-look, Beetle
Green, standard, Sunbeam Stiletto with for sale stickers in it (oh, to buy and put a 'bike engine in it.....)
Gareth's 135R,
red Chimaera,
various MGBs and classic stuff like that,
and,
fanfare please,
a black 997 Turbo (are they on sale or would this be a press car?)

Apart from that, there were countless MX5s, MR2s, and the like.

Good to see that there's a lot of folk on the go who appreciate cars and that its not all lentilistas extolling the virtues of buses. Just as good was seeing how everytime a nice car passed, pedestrians would stop and stare. It's not just Italy that has car fans!

yum yum!

::edited:: with regard to your other post, have you tried Overton - maybe they'll be away to pick up a car from England and would be able to take your one down?

Unlike the video...
(Note, passenger holding video camera does not smooth footage make.)

Best noise of the day went to the Corvette.

With regard to the camera work, the gentleman is quite correct in that it was, to use the technical term, pish.

However, he fails to mention that trying to hold a camera steady, yourself in the seat (even with harnesses) and a hastily consumed ice cream and bottle of juice in your stomach, whilst the man next to you is exploring just how much grip an Exige has, is not an easy task!!

Haha!

However, I have to say, it was fun!

The Corvette made a mighty noise - why can't more cars have V8s?

Thanks again,
J

dunno who owned it but it was silver, S-reg plates on. I guess that makes it a C5?
