Ok so i voluteered to swap my prowler for a mystery car for the day.

Its this sunday and i believe the first episode was last night, the swap was a KA for a Merc jeep, next weeks is a pink Corsa for a Audi estate?

At this stage you may be thinking what the hell has this boy done? In all honesty i think I'm going to get something which will actually put a smile on my face, something good and hopefully not a people carrier.

The prowler has no luggage space, is lhd, auto, 3.5 V6 etc so i thought well its going to be the complete opposite of that. Now i'm thinking it's not, who knows!!!!!!

Wish me luck!

Matthew

Like I said mate, least you had the balls for it that I didnt!

Would be well up for a caterham or westfield. Just need to outrun the camera man for a bit of fun!!! Just kidding!

Ok well lets just say I was set up a cracker!

Took a whole day of filming etc etc. 4 hours with me then met up for lunch and was introduced to the other owner, Joe, a gentleman in his 70's, possibly 80's. So at this point I still dont know what i'm getting but I've narrowed out anything sporty but I'm thinking to myself what if he likes his rollers etc, trying to stay positive.

It turns out i swapped my Plymouth for a new model Toyota Prius. F*ck that is all i can say. It was a petrol/electric car and just wasnt my thing. I had a good day and met nice folk but in the end was a little gutted as i felt it could have been something far superior or at least interesting but i think the producers, well i know the producers are not after that, they want complete contrast and conflict unfortunately.

Poor Joe hated every detail about the Plymouth and it was hilarious watching his reaction at the end.

Anyway, must shoot but be warned guys.

Matthew

PS. What the hell am i meant to say about a Toyota Prius??????

I think my suggestion of an MPV would actually have been better. I hope they got your face on video when they announced what you were getting, would be priceless......

To be honest, an MPV would have been better. Even a robin reliant/citroen dolly 2CV would have been better, at least they has character which this thing certainly did not.

The old man gave up driving it and one of the camera crew had to drive it back, hahahaha!!

The one benefit of it all is i get some great footage of the car and some good prints, just what i want..
