I got ma 400SE for my bday in jan/feb this year and I wanted to see what I'd done and spent so far.. Well, I should have stuck to the list of items completed but I shouldn't have counted the pennies.. Put it this way if SHE find out what I've spent I'm out on ma AR£E!

But the car looks st hot, after it's full body resto and paint including new rear spoiler and front bib spoiler (just before I bought it). It now goes like a scalded cat and handles and steers like a proper man size go kart...
As I say, it's as original as Triggers Broom, well that's an over exaggeration but it's now a bobby dazzler of an Auld Bus!!!!

A wee taster, oh dam I need road tax at the end of the month, as I do intend to use it when cold, not cold n snowy but on cold days off when the weather permits..

Get a new hood
New Master Cylinder
New Slave Cylinder
Newly refurbished power steering rack (just done)
Tracking
New top steering joint
New Track rod ends
New Drop links
New Anti-roll bar bushes (26mm)
New reverse light switch
New Gearbox/Diff/Engine oils and engine filter - sept 2012 @ 51150miles
New Spark Plugs
New Magnecore Plug Leads/Rotor Arm/Cap for the original Dizzy (then found it was fooked)
New Coil
New Distributor and Amplifier and associated parts
Replacement/Spare ECU
Replacement/Spare AFM 3AM
New Stepper Motor
New Vacuum Tubing
New Fuel Temp Sensor (fuel rail)
New Fuel Pump/Filter and Pre-Filter and Fuel Treatment
Tuning and Rolling Road
New ipod Stereo

But like I say, it now goes and steers like it aut too!!!!

I need to focus my pennies else where now, Thunderpants has had too much attention over the past months.

Richard, shame John and yourself couldnt make the Rusty, there were a couple of Tuscans there for the weekend blast.. I think they were under the illusion it was going to be a gentle drive, sadly they were wrong as we all ended up stretching the legs of the old Wedges around the Borders, meaning the Tuscans had to keep up.. Which im sure was easy!!!!

Maybe next time..

Si, told you before it's the monkey's nuts, on the Rusty Run it ran with no problem's approx 200 miles. Even though you've spent a bit of money on the car it's now looking and running superb. In my case when i bought the 390SE i had the roof and seats to cough up for which was a fair bit now i'm over the moon with her same as you.
Nice photo's.

jonny.
Jonny, i was told it was missing though, i said no, its running on all 10, but im told i was sadly only running on 8 cyls.!!!!! Dam Rover V10...

Dickie, just let me know.. I'm days next week so you'll no doubt see it in the works carpark..

So you and John both got Tuscans now, he mail me a piccie of his red one.. Nice, he did saw it needed a few things done.. Theres a bloke at Ninemile burn who's just bought a 2002 Tuscan with 9k on the clock. He came on the run and it's very very nice... Too pampered I'd say but nice.. It's the like blue one in the Rusty piccies..

Keep me in the loop if a runs sorted.

Are those running lights just under the front bib?
Yup. I've now got a collection of DRL in the garage. These were the first bought n fitted. I like the look. Low enough down on the car to be subtle yet people still see you coming even if it is a wedge. I also wanted mine to be a wee bit different.

You know that white one suits (in my opinion) the faired in RX7 carbon lights, or are they MX5!!

I like original too, but I also want mine to be a little different from the others, a personal touch, even down to the black union jacks,
Subtle!!!!

I had the car out today, many many many looks and swivelling heads..

You gotta love Sunny days, out blasting about the back roads..
