On the flea now a 390se FHC.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-TVR-TASMIN-390i-SE-FHC-5-SPEED-PAS-ONLY-390i-SE-FHC-KNOWN-TO-EXIST-/280988781381?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item416c3c8b45 I didnt know such a beast existed but it was apparently built to special order. Looks nice but at £9K it should be. If its a one off factory special then the rarity is going to make it worth a few bob , so maybe the price is not too bad? Can anyone enlighten me on this car, I cant afford it but i'm curious to know more about these one off specials smile

CAVEAT EMPTOR for me this cars all wrong. The body shape and bonnet is wrong for such a late car and it is only rumoured that TVR built cars to this spec. Without solid documentory evidence to prove otherwise You have to assume that It's a 350i FHC with a 390 engine and horrid badges and pay accordingly ( a hell of a lot less than the sticker price).

Hi -Well Simon as you say you learn something new every day!! I stand corrected getmecoat and I hope you will forgive my cynicism in earlier posts but as a TVR enthusiast you will know yourself that there are a lot of TVR's around claiming to be a "one off special" or "a factory prototype" or "owned by the Queen of Sheba" etc. As i said earlier without documentary evidence these claims should be taken with a pinch of salt but as you have said documents let me say congratulations on unearthing such a rare beast thumbup !! To me the car looked all wrong with a late reg but early body style and 390 engine and only rumor that TVR produced a car with such a spec is it any wonder it set my alarm bells ringing ?? Still dont like the decals but congrats and good luck with the sale smile
