Car has a good rumble but will not keep running, I have recently emptied the tank so thought the 'fuel filter', might be clogged up, that thing connected to the offside, sill that looks like a can that was cobbled together in a shed maybe in Blackpool, Steve Heath suggests the can is a big problem if blocked. Took it off and it appears to be empty I can blow through easily. Bit loath to just put it back if I can source a replacement and I am at my wits end as to why the old sod won't start if that is not the problem.
HELP!!!!!!

Got a filter first go from my local GSF car parts.
The Bosche 0 450 905 030 is still fitted to some Fords and Audis.
The Mann equivalent WK830/7 cost £9.00

Fuel pressure testing kit just arrived. By now my pump was off the car and on the bench, that's down to you lot encouraging me to change all the pipes, why are there three different diameter popes? That's a rhetorical question its just mad cap design. Anyway back to the point, the pump pressure is 80-90psi the variation is due to the supply funnel leaking petrol all over my hands and me and my mad mate chickening out and aborting further testing.
Now the search for pipes begins.
