After booking to go on the Rusty Nail Run in September, it occurred to me that although I carry a load of essential tools (inc DVM) in the boot. I carry very few spares!

I think it was something Keith said about spares that has reminded me. So with a potential 700+ mile trip looming for the 350i and 390se Cannock based Wedges. What do you think we should have in the boot besides the AA card? :-)

Coil
Spare HT lead or two
Fuel Pump
Relays & Fuses
Ignition Amp?

This is something I should have done a long time ago but unlike nearly every other classic I've owned. I just never thought about it for the TVR?

Cheers Karl

Hi Karl, I now carry the following:

Spare belts for alternator and steering pump
Coil
Ignition amp
Couple of spark plugs
Multi-meter for fault finding
4 spark plug spark detectors http://www.screwfix.com/p/laser-ht-lead-ignition-s...
Assorted box of wires, connector spades etc of all sizes
Radiator pressure cap and blanking cap
A dozen different bits and sizes of hoses, especially fuel hose and top rad hose
Full set of spare bulbs and spare fuses
Duct tape
Shed load of cable ties
Coolant Temperature Sensor
Gallon of water
Oh and also a spare fuel pressure regulator

Of course there's bugger all room left in the boot for anything else.........:

I knew it was you Keith who started me thinking about this. Now that's what I call a comprehensive list. 😜

Whilst i agree with duct tape, tools, tie raps and etc.

If anything else bothers you. Change it before you go and leave the boot free for your targa top. wink
Hey Steve.

It goes without saying if the roof Isn't in the boot. I ain't going!

I love this car MORE than any other vehicle I have ever owned. But if the roof needs to be up. I'm not driving it.

Bl@@dy awful with the roof up"!

Cheers KY.
