Well, second time in my ownership on a lowloader..
Not bad at all in eight years of ownership !!
And in all honesty, my car is super reliable.
Anyhoo, started to splutter on the M25....figured out of fuel and managed to get to a station.
Fill up.....but no startee.
Let her cool, pulled fuel line away from regulator, put it into an empty bottle and cranked..........no fuel coming up.
trailered back home and suspect fuel pump problem. (probably the original)
Any ideas fedders ?

Thanks fedders, got her up at the back......ran her and jiggled wires to no effect.
Darkness fell, so next weekend for some testing.
Neil, terrific to meet you too.
Nice to know you are local and soon as I get back in shape will contact you for a meet up with me and Dave (chimp on gas )
Happy to meet up with the club boys too so will keep an eye out.
Mange tout fellas

got a pre filter guys thanks.
Rudimentary question:
If i disconnect the pipe (from below) which enters the pressure regulator. Upon cranking, i should get a stream of fuel....right ?
Not the pipe which connects regulator to Plenum, nor the breather tube.
I get fuel coming out of the regulator......backfeed ?
Perhaps that's the way the flow runs.........fuel "supply" comes in on the other side.( i mean otherside of the plenum.....passenger side)

Did you get sorted?
I didn’t see you outside the Shell in Chorleywood as I drove past
Ha ha, Neil. Very good.I didn’t see you outside the Shell in Chorleywood as I drove past
Worked on her Sunday, and I hope I have fixed her.
Decided it may have been an electrical fault and removed several contacts on and around the coil for a clean up and a re-crimp.
While I had her running, I pulled one or two off and the result was a failure to start symptoms identical to the breakdown.
Drive her out for several spirited miles (not towards Chorleywood) and all seemed well.
Fingers crossed Fellas !
