HELP! We broke our tasmin racers’ rear mounted left hand leading arm and need a replacement. Can members of the forum lead us to a solution? We did weld it before, but the item simply is not strong enough.

@Adam: The arm broke close to the connection to the droplink. Cortina parts are almost impossible to find in the Netherlands. I guess we have to fabricate new ones ourselves. @KKson: The car is a 1981Tasmin with trailing arms.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion!

When I look at the picture, the connection for the droplink is in a different position, so neds to be rewelded. Any idea if it is a mark! of MArk 5 as they have different order numbers?

It looks like a customized Ford item. I wrote to motomobil for advice. Maybe we can change the position for the drop link ourselves.

The arm was on the car when I bought it 10 years ago. It looks like an original item to me. And I will check tghe Taunus as well.

Thanks Steve! I did order a "Zugstrebe" from Motomobil in Bavaria. I need to weld the ARB eye to it as well. The angle seems to be a little wider than the one that came from the car that might result in more toe out. But maybe that can be corrected by adjusting the steering.
