For the usual informal "jolly" and beef-fest plus beer binge Oh alright, driving so lemonade it is!!

The Flying Fortress, Suffolk. Tel: 01284-787665
Postcode: IP31 2QU for www.multimap.com

Around 1-1:30pm

Anyone who hasn`t been to this gathering yet, don`t be shy, it`s just a pleasant way to pass a few hours on a Sunday afternoon in the company of PHers and their machinery.

Word of advice - if you want to sample the pubs carvery before they run out, ensure you get there before Simon and his Ultima

Sorry chaps, can't make this one...I'm off to Donington to see Valentino Rossi and his chums entertain me with some Moto GP
(and NO, I don't have to take Darcy with me!!!)

Hmm I haven`t heard those Ducatis in "the flesh" yet

And it`s WSBK at Brands the week after as well

Trying to convince Mr Big that we should be going to this on Sunday. Better than sitting indoors watching the German GP. Weather report is looking good as well. Any assistance in convincing him would be good guys.

1) Schumacher will win, so save 2 hours of your life (or video it)
2) If he likes beef, the FF is the place to be

Agree with that entirely, the weather is looking good and it`s a very pleasant pub in good surroundings - apart from meeting other PHers

I am helping my parents to move over this weekend but will try and "skive" off for a few hours

Hi, first post, I may be able to make this with a bit of luck, notice its an 01284 number so can't be too far away from me! I'm in Newmarket!

How many people are you expecting?

Welcome to Pistonheads Seems to alternate between 10 and 20 as a norm, and has so far been a good mix of cars!

Ok, what time do you tend to stay at the FF till, I have car racing in the morning (models) and will hopefully be over after that, (About 2ish) Think my mate in his elise will be coming too!

People tend to have a good lunch and the early birds tend to start wandering off after 3 with some still there past 5 when I`ve generally departed Some get there later on anyway. Nothings fixed.

Sorry Guys - looks like we wont be making it - I had got a really nice route sorted as well. Mr Big wants to watch the Grand Prix - plus I have toothache - so probably not a good idea to be munching on prime beef.

Maybe next month.

I couldn`t make it either today, still helping parents with their move. I`ve just come in from out of the rain after moving a dozen huge pot plants - and my Dad has decided he wants to move half of them around - because they don`t look right!!!

Next months gathering may be co-inciding with a local air show which is near the Flying Fortress so keep an eye out ok

Didn't make it today - "him indoors" is playing at Le Mans for the weekend (big sulk) and I got to entertain the folks (parents 40th wedding aniversary). Should be catching up with yall at Helmingham Hall tho - look fwd to it.

So Simon thought it was more important to go to Le-mans than support you with your parents 40th anniversary did he?!! stir stir I could easily have decided it was better to go to The flying Fortress today to stuff my face than help my parents moving - but I didn`t did I!! continuing to stir I reckon he owes you a big slap up meal!! See you at Helmingham!!

Never mind Big M, Ian and John, the weather didn't help but we still had some new faces and two Boxsters and our first Elise as well.

The FF was packed but the staff were very accommodating, despite trying to charge me for 6 (SIX!) carveries! They must have thought I had an Ultima or something

I shall now hand back to Mr Beech who will be announcing the next meet soon.

Thanks John

I didn't realise there is a PH East Anglian group - sounds great.

How often do you meet, is it a monthly thing or just when enough people think it is a good idea to get together.

I would be interested in getting involved - just got myself a GTO 3R does this qualify for membership to your highly esteemed group.

My mate has got the new Exige can he come and play too.

Wayne - Colchester

All welcome - the only requirement is petrol running through your veins It has become a monthly easy going gathering on the last Sunday of each month - but just to keep you on your toes, the next one in August may be slightly different due to a local air show, we may do it to co-incide with that Keep an eye out ok!!
