PHEA Roadshow: Lavenham Rare Breeds - BH Monday 31st August
Discussion
Afternoon everyone!
With our next SWW Meet on Wednesday 19th August, I'd like to announce our Next Show, which is the penultimate show of the season. (That's come around fast!)
We shall be returning to Lavenham Rare Breeds on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August
It has been a mainstay of the PHEA Calendar for a number of years and attracts all manner of rare, classic and modern machinery.
In essence it is a large car show, but there is the added attraction of a fayre and of course the lovely village in which it is hosted!
Further Details of the show can be found on their WEBSITE HERE
I have secured us 14 spaces. These are physical passes which I will hand out at the Meeting Point.
On that note, the Meeting Point will be the Church road layby at Alpheton - MAP LINK HERE.
Can we please meet at 9:30am for a 9:45am departure and convoy in together
Entry to the show is FREE, although a £5 voluntary donation, payable on gate, would be accepted to help cover admin costs
Let's get together our best, rarest, cleanest, most sporty and exotic machinery for our penultimate show in the PHEA Calendar 2015!
With limited space, be quick to avoid disappointment
All you have to do is add your name to list on this thread.
If you prefer, you can email/message me to let me know you'd like to join us.
Alternatively, you could also sign up to the Event on our Facebook Page HERE

I always believed the show began at 11am. Not sure why, but that's what I've always thought.
I am sorry to say I do not know with absolute certainty, but if it was 12-5 last year, I guess it would be the same this year.
Having said that, I can't see them turning away public who are a little early
Sorry I can't be of too much help!

Not at all, Paul; thank you! I appreciate the clarification
Please forgive my incorrect information on having to be in by 10am. It would appear they are timings I've used often for the show, and so have become ingrained to the point of being fact
Considering it is such a short time, I shall stick to the timings this year, but certainly something I will consider for next year
See you all tomorrow

Fear not Simpo, I certainly wasn't on my own!
I am very thankful for those of you who joined me on such a wet day.
If you couldn't make it, please don't worry - I knew the rain would put off many, so I was pleasantly surprised to have 6 cars making up the PHEA Stand
Such a shame for the show organisers, having heavy rain 2 years in a row.
The rain on the way down to Lavenham actually gave way to a dry spell when we set up the Stand (and more importantly the gazebo!).
The heavens then opened with abandon and the wind whipped up a little!
Despite this appalling weather meaning there wasn't the usual quantity (the organisers informed me there was still around 200 cars!), the quality at the show remained high.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day chatting with you all, wandering around the cars and spending some time in the entertainment tent.
I snapped a few photos. Once uploaded, I'll post up a link.
Once again, thank you to all who made it! Let's hope for better weather next time
See you all again soon.
