Good afternoon everyone!

After this week's two notifications of the PHEA Early Spring Run and LowiePete's Detailing Meet, we're still not done!
Back for 2017 is the ever popular Rolling Road Day, this year being held on Saturday 8th April

MEET
We'll be meeting at the venue, Clive Atthowe Tuning, Norwich, on the Saturday 8th April when we'll be running from 8:30am 'til late afternoon.
Find a Clive Atthowe Tuning MAP HERE

PHer fasteddys has been, once again, kind enough to organise the day which costs £36 for two runs. Air/Fuel Ratio is monitored and you will receive a print out of your best run.

Clive Atthowe's rolling road is suitable for FWD, RWD and 4WD cars, but I'm sorry to say bikes cannot run.
Automatic transmissioned cars have run in previous years, but occasionally these can be a little troublesome to gain accurate results.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, or if you have specific queries about your car running, please contact Clive Atthowe Tuning on 01603 702400.

Once you've committed to the list, you arrive and sign on/pay on the day and you'll then be given a number in line. I'm sorry, but you won't be able to pre book a time.
In the past we've had the occasional person who needs to get away at a certain time. This has been accommodated with agreement with everyone else. It's worked fine in previous years, so I am sure if you are in such a position, we can arrange something smile

To help speed up sign on, you can fill in Clive Atthowe's online disclaimer forum in advance rather than on the day. You can FIND IT HERE

I am also pleased to announce that fasteddys and Rebecca will again be offering hot and cold snacks and drinks (all for reasonable prices wink ).

Before and after your runs feel free to hang around, have a chat and spectate your fellow members' car's runs.

So all you need to do now is get your name down on the list here.

What time does it start/finish? I can't get off work but could leave the car there and pick it up on my way home? If not take me off the list please
Hi Rob,

We start at 8:30am and will be there until about 4:30-5pm.

If you can to appoint someone to look after your car for the day, fill in the necessary forms and arrange payments, that would be fine.
We wouldn't want to be leaving cars unattended, and the venue owner will be leaving as soon as we are finished.
If this cannot be arranged, I'm sorry but it may not be possible to Run your car.

Please let us know so we can update the list smile

Cheers,
Darren

I'd like to offer a huge "Thank You" to everyone who made it along to another successful Rolling Road Event!

Thank you fasteddy for arranging another year of Rolling Road fun, and of course thanks must go to Clive and his team for allowing us back!

We had 24 or 25 cars measuring their power, torque and AFR in the most glorious spring weather!
We also had many more PHers simply pop by for a social. Thank you to those did this. It was great to catch up with you all!
We had some new members attend, too. Welcome to you all wavey

There was also such a wide array of machinery, many offering lovely exhaust notes ears

As for my mother's Range Rover, I am happy to report some healthy figures above the original 502 bhp and 461 lb ft figures (quoted from Parkers).
Run 1: 557.9 bhp & 491.6 lb ft
Run 2: 559.4 bhp & 491.2 lb ft

In the interest of honesty, I must clarify that isn't the end of the story.

BC noted how the car dropped on the suspension at speed - pretty cool to witness as you never notice it when driving. Thanks for pointing it out biggrin
The side effect of this is the tethering goes slack, meaning the car shifts around a little on the rollers. This will also throw the result.
Added to this, the car's electronics shuffle power and torque, which can also give a slightly different figure.

This said, I'm reliably informed the car would definitely produce healthy numbers around the claimed figures thumbup

What a super day out, though. Thank you again.
I'll post a link to my photos once I have uploaded them smile

Next up is LowiePete's Detailing Meet on Saturday 22nd April, followed by the AS Motorsport Visit on Sunday 23rd April

Hope to see you all again soon!
