Managed to clip another car in my Leaf, quite bummed since car has 500 miles on it frown need a decent body shop, Marshall's quoted £630, ChipsAway £350, but i'm unsure of the quality of both places.
Can anyone recommend a good body shop in Cambridge area?!

I had some work done on my Impreza about 3 years ago - to cut the rust out of the one of the arches, repair and repaint by Barry Kempton (B M Kempton Ltd) on Barnwell Road. I think I paid about £350 for this. The rust did come back again about 6 months later but he took the car back and re-did the work for free. The area has since started rusting again recently, but I get the impression that it's common to reappear on an old Scoob in this area of the car after repair, as it's a design-flaw water trap.

He also painted a new bumper for my wife's Nissan Micra Mystique which has weird TVR style flip-colour paint and managed to source some when no-one else was able to. Marshalls Nissan told us the car would be written off for less than the cost of the paint alone!

My Dad had a scrape on his Saab repaired by B M Kempton also, although he's never been 100% happy with the colour match with the original paintwork. It's a metalic silver with a green tinge and when you look carefully, you can see a slight difference in colour between the new and old paint. He has also had some later work done on the other side by the body shop on the Buckingway Business Park near Swavesey/A14 (I thought it was Vindis, but appears it may be Gladwins now). He was very pleased with the work that was done and although it was more expensive than B M Kempton had quoted, there is no sign of the repair this time at all and the colour match was perfect. They had several Bentley's in for 'delivery repairs' at the time too, so their standard of work is presumably consistently good.

This is going back 4 years but I once used Chips Away just opposite the science park in Milton, I had a large parking rash across the front corner of my bumper, just paint damage mind you. They did a very good job in my opinion and I'm sure it wasn't much more than £160 as it was a work colleague that did it and he just ponied up the cash (well, I was his boss...)

A neighbour inadvertently sprayed my partner's white car with creosote, we used Marshalls bodyshop to fix that (£400ish IIRC to get it all off) However I would never go back to them following some shocking after care sales after we'd bought a third car from them within the space of 18 months (hidden accident damage that they washed their hands of on a 6 month old car)

The Chipsaway that was just off the A10 was sold and closed a few yrs ago, now runs out of the Huntington branch.

Try these guys, based in Haverhill, 10 miles south of Cambridge, be amazed what they can do.
