Well the time has come to say goodbye to my beloved Chimaera. I simply cannot justify having a 2 seater any longer when I have 3 young kids. I am not getting the use out of it that it deserves and have put it up for sale. I on the prowl for something slightly more practical and have plumpted for an M3 Evo. Its still RWD, very powerful and sounds good. So the good news is that I will still be a confirmed Pistonhead and visit the meets. My wife has been very understanding and said I can squander the proceeds on the new motor, so thats another plus. After the many hours of polishing and love & attention I have given to her (the Chimaera ) some lucky bugger is gonna get a beautiful car. If you are interested it is the dark blue 400 with the TVR number plate on the classifeds.
Chances are, in a few years I will come back to TVR ownership, but for now I feel like a relationship with a very pretty beautiful girlfriend is now coming to an end

well, my P & J goes on saturday to a guy from london, but the good news is I have my replacement on order and should be ready to collect late next week............320bhp.......6 cylinders......4 seats.......6 gears.....yep...I've got a deposit on an M3 Evolution in cosmos black . So the good news it will mean I can actually begin coming to Pistonhead meets again on a regular basis (I can drag the tribe along too!!). I'm sad to have to bow out of TVR ownership for now, but I'm sure i'll be back when the kids are older. I'm trying to look upon it as a move sideways and not a move backwards....the BMW may not have the exclusivity of the Chimaera, but I'm sure 320 bhp will keep me smiling for a while yet!!!

Blimey, that was quick work Nick

We look forward to seeing you in the new motor

yeah.....i didn't want to prolong the agony.
Looking at her polished up and gleaming, i do start to feel a bit reluctant and emotional, but needs must when the devil vomits in your kettle!!

I have 3 young kids, and it meant that me and Kate could never enjoy the TVR together which is part of the reason we bought it....I'm sure the M3 will give me the driving experience I need, and the plus side is I can scare the whole family witless at the same time
DOWNSIDE....no waves from middle aged blokes with beards!!! (not mentioning any names IAN!!!!)
I will lose the "hey mister what a luverrlly car" factor.

But hey, i'll have dual climate and a stereo i can hear!!! Roll on the next Pistonhead meet at the Flying Fortress...cos I WILL BE THERE
