We are looking to move back to the UK into the area in the coming months, so I'd like to know your views on Norfolk?

What's good about the area? It looks nice and rural (we currently live in Normandy)

What's bad? I saw a Facebook post about a Jag hijacked and stolen in Watton recently. Really? !!!??

What's the flood risk generally, being so flat?

Appreciate your views.....

Cant answer your question directly but if I were in your shoes I would be looking to move into rental and then take time to explore and assess the area.
Thanks; It is one option that we're considering, but I was hoping for some real world testimony from those that already live there...

Thanks hugely everyone for your feedback, mostly consistent and very useful and interesting!
However, little has been said about the flood risk(s)? Do they concern you at all given Norfolk is so flat, particularly in those areas marked on this map...?

Supplementary question (to the original one):-

To anyone that lives in Norfolk, have you experienced any problems accessing health services (esp. GP or dentist, also hospital services) in the last couple of years?

Well, thanks to everyone for your input.

It worked, we've had an offer accepted on a place in Swaffham and we're looking forward to moving there (from France) in September!
