Mk 1 1972 Bedford CF with a mopar 440 big block with a 727 powerglide. This is where the problem lies, finding a back end which will handle the power. Were looking at about 550-600bhp, and 650-700 lb feet of torque.

Now back with uncle sam there are lots of places you can pick up the right sorts of things, but over here, when i think of LSD's i think sierra 4x4 and use aselection of granada and sierra ratios to make it sweet. Or XJ6 (but i would like IRS really) so its a bit of a problem.

Im sure you can see where this is going add those to 650 lbft of torque and you just end up with a lout bang as the cogs proceed to ground smoother than a babys bum.

So guys what can i use??? or do you think that either of the above will do the job??

Yeah we dont really have chevys over here, and the traditional american ford models are few and far between. The 9" is unfortunately looking incresingly like the only option. but i really would like IRS as live axles are good for 4x4's and trucks but for every day use ummm. jolt bang jolt seems to come to mind.
