How was it deep fried? Not tried it yet, just went regular roasted last week!
The guy my wife works for lent us the whole shooting match for our first thanksgiving. We have fried it now for every Thanksgiving and Christmas since.

I won’t normally eat turkey - too dry. Even people who tell me their turkey is moist...I don’t find it so.

Definitely recommend. Ensure your turkey is fresh, not frozen - this is vital if you don’t want to call the fire brigade. Lower the turkey super slow - 2 people either end of a broom is the perfect combo.

We use the oil McDonalds use on their fries. Makes the skin super tasty!

How long did it take? I have the burner and other bits. Top tip seems to be to get the oil level right by testing the turkey with brining water first!
If you PM me, I can send you the instructions my buddy gave me.

But yes, before taking the turkey out of the plastic wrap...and better a day or two before really, put the turkey in and fill with normal water to about a inch above the turkey line (don't forget the level of the stand/basket too). Then remove turkey and mark the level of the water with Sharpie. Get rid of water and that mark is where you will fill the oil to.

It takes about 3 mins per lb. depending on the temperature you're at.

PM sent. Cheers.

At 3mins/lb, it could be a good fast way of cooking chicken too!
I got your message. Will send them over in the next couple of days. Have to get them from my wife's laptop.
