I went out yesterday at 08.45, and joined the queue at Rackstraws!

It took me an hour to get to the M3 (it can't be more than 4 miles) - so does anyone know what had happened, or is it always like that?

Do you mean Tuesday?

If so... https://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/hampshire-news/a3...

and,,, https://www.eagleradio.co.uk/news/local-news/24968...

My wife was meant to have a half day, but other staff were stuck in the queuing traffic and "couldn't get to work". With patients to care for, she could hardly walk out and leave them to it...
Yes, it was indeed Tuesday morning (around 9 to 10 am).

But the report says the bus broke down on Monday night and they closed the whole carriageway - why not just the lane the bus was in FFS?

And they had over 8 hours to recover it and sort the road surface out anyway? banghead

I was keeping out of the plumber's way this morning and watched that programme about the A1 - they managed to recover a bus with a broken propshaft, oil leak and seized brakes in under 2 hours from that!

Sounds like a right mess!

No wonder it took a while.
