Interest in a Surrey Meet in May 2021 (Fairmile Inn, Cobham)

I'll call the pub to confirm when they are open and whether they have availability but I might as well get this rolling now to see if there is interest.

Weather has picked up so we may as well at least start planning as we mean to go on, if we're not doing a PH meet in Ibiza this year

Usual rules apply i.e. meet at the Fairmile mid/late morning, park on the grass, have a drink and maybe lunch...

Made the poll "multiple per user" so you don't need a solid preference and we can see how we go...

Lots of past threads in this sub-forum to give you a flavour of the activities and numbers (usually 20+ cars and some interesting metal/GRP/CFRP).

I didn't include the bank holiday as maybe y'all have plans and it's a bit short notice...

I've just realised... my Clio V6 may not be back from SG Motorsport! And there's no chance of me finishing my Pugs by next month.... Hmmmm....

So, pub hasn't been organising until things are more open i.e. from tomorrow.

Will call 'em tomorrow and see if we can get the last Sunday, since that's got the most votes anyway!

If not, will get a June pencilled and see what we can do

This is interesting... still no meets and no mowing of the field, as far as I can tell, at the Fairmile! Wouldn't want to be trying to escape the Black Swan with 300 cars in attendance but lovely place on a day like today!

I'm down in Devon at the moment but last time I was home, I think they had finally mowed the field and I saw something on the 'Gram about an American car meet, recently.

Dammit it - was hoping you'd forgotten

Boxing coach got COVID and then 3 of us all tested negative but had every symptom... Weird! (had COVID and 2 jabs).

Add in a work restructuring that is ongoing (but coming to the end) and it just dropped down the priorities - apologies!

However, I did see many rows of Porsches there the other night, which has reinvigorated me!

I box most nights buuuuuuut... I'd take a night off for you, handsome!

Yeah, summer had a couple of short spurts of heat then it's been crap.

She's just about ok with me owning too many (5) cars considering there is only a single garage that is full of 'workshop'... but She'd like 'her drive' back and the Pugs on the road

We just never got those long, balmy summer evenings that would have been ideal to stare at cars. Very frustrating! Still, the Porsche guys seemed to have a hell of a turn out? What would that have been? A PCGB Surrey chapter thing or...?
