Recent nut and bolt restoration by me. Circa 220 bhp, Type 9 removed and TVR T5 box fitted, rear disc conversion, brake bias fitted, roll hoops with removeable struts, blah, blah etc etc

Goes like stink all the way to over 150 (gets very light at the front though and corners as well as my old VX 2.0 L Westfield

The G33 is 80mm wider (I think)so as to fit the V8 more easily. The engines in G33`s are also slightly offset so as to enable the steering shaft to bypass the offside exhaust, this means that standard primaries are used which are not that free flowing.

There are only a handfull of G27 V8`s. The main chassis difference is the front nearside chassis top rail is kinked so as to clear the exhaust primary as the two cylinder banks are offset.It is a tight fit, in fact everything is a tight fit, the engine is on solid rubber mounts so it hardly moves and the tvr T5 box means that I have had to cut strategic holes in the tunnel to accomodate it.

The main disadvantage is that the drivers footwell is very tight as the starter motor intrudes into it(racing/karting boots required)

Yokohama Ao`s going on it soon but the Yoko A539`s on it at the mo are still a superb compromise between wet/dry grip and wear
