Surprised to find, at a very wet Loton Park Hillclimb last Sunday, we were able to beat the experienced featherweight 7's in our roadgoing class (on road tyres) with 71 secs against 72 secs. May be different in the dry, but a great testament to the good balance of the car as we could only use a smidgen of the V8's power!

Yes, the bit of understeer is a useful notice of .. impending fun!

Re. the diff, by huge coincidence I now have a spare standard Cossie viscous diff which has only done 9,000 miles - plus a few hillclimbs of course! It works fine, no play/leaks/noises etc but I upgraded to a tighter Quaife diff this winter. I was planning on keeping it, but would let it go for £200 to a '33 enthusiast.
