Just thought i'd post a very positive comment on this - it's the free breakdown/recovery service Ford dealers supply if the car is serviced by them on schedule.

The other half's 2010 Focus was serviced last week and yesterday started showing an amber engine warning message. She called the dealer who advised not to drive it any further and dispatched the AA.
30 minutes later, the AA diagnosed a dodgy fuel filter (had been changed at the service) which was leaking badly from a seal. Car was recovered to the dealer and a Fiesta loan car delivered by Enterprise within the hour.

She's got the loan car for 2 working days (until Tuesday) while the garage investigate and fix the fault.

All this is at no cost to her whatsoever.
Dealer servicing costs are less than 10% more than a couple of independents quoted too and the recovery cover is not just UK, but UK & mainland Europe.

Just to close the story on this..

Dealer confirmed the fuel filter was faulty and a replacement fitted on the Thursday afternoon. The service manager then offered to open up on Easter Sunday (as he lived locally) so she could pick the car up then, rather than her be late for work on the Tuesday morning..
We turned up - he couldn't find the key (someone had very helpfully locked it away in completely the wrong place). Poor guy was very embarrassed, but it wasn't his fault.
He then offered to deliver it back to her on the Tuesday, no matter where it needed to go, rather than her have to go back to the dealer's again. They delivered it as promised, 25 miles away from the dealer, on time and cleaned.

So amazing service from the dealer and Ford recovery service. She's definitely going to carry on using them..
