Looking to buy a classic ford

Narrowed it down to either a 2.8 injection special or a 280 Brooklands.
Not sure which one to go for.
My reasons for purchase is mainly investment but also to use sparingly to go to classic car shows etc. Needs to be a restored car for me pretty much.
Which one would you recommend ?

Bought a 280 brooklands in the end, 2 owner car with just over 20k miles from new.
Very extensive history files supplied with car so very happy.

Picking her up on weds evening this week so will put some pictures up by the weekend.
Hoping it will appreciate as they are rising in value right now for good examples but hey, as always it’s that crystal ball moment.... not the be all and end all if she doesn’t appreciate as I’m planning to keep the car for a good few years.
