Folks,

Mrs has ordered a brand-new Ford Fiesta 1.4 Auto 5-door Titanium in white, dealer has told us there is already one in the build schedule for May but isn't able to give us an ETA and there is also a bit of confusion about the spec (for example, they have a 10-plate Titanium Auto demonstrator that doesn't have USB when I think it should have - salesman said some come with it, others dont. There is also a Titanium manual in the showroom with the 'wrong' alloys on it - 5-spoke ones instead of the 15-spoke 'standard' Titanium ones).

Does anyone work for Ford and able to check the build system?

Info I am looking for:

1. What is the scheduled build date (I assume there is only one 5-door Auto Titanium in white in right hand drive in the system for May?)
2. What is the EXACT spec of the car (wheels, stereo USB etc, parking sensors etc)
3. How long, roughly, does it take to go from the factory (Spain or Germany?) to the UK (central Scotland).

Many thanks for any advice received.

Dealer is assuring me that "it'll be fine" - we will not accept the car if it's not the right spec once we see it at the dealers but I just wondered if someone could check the build spec & date, just for peace of mind.

If you can get the VIN number, if it's been allocated one yet, you can look it up here or you could check the demonstrators reg & see if that has got it.

Thanks for that, I will get onto the dealer and see if I can get the VIN. I checked my car (Focus) on there and there is a big long list of Minor Features, some of which I would struggle to know what they actually mean.

As for the other poster above, the Fiesta brochure says that Bluetooth with USB is standard on a Titanium so it was strange to see their 10-plate demonstrator Titanium without USB. Also, I am fairly confident that the other Titanium they had in the showroom (unregistered) had 15" 5-spoke alloys on it when it should be 16's on it.

As I say, just worried that we'll go to pick the car up in a few weeks and it'll not be right. Salesman said the wheels can be swapped for the proper ones if the worst came to the worst but that USB can't be retrofitted - needs to be done at the factory.

Gareth350 - thanks again for the ETIS link. Now got a VIN number, checked it tonight and all appears well. Car is expected at the dealers around 19th June.

Just one slight concern is the mention of "6.5 X 16" Alloy Style 5 Wheel". Whats a "Style 5" alloy?

Car is now at the dealers - wahey!

Popped in on my way home last night just to check the car was all ok and it is, got everything it should have. They have still got to valet it and put on a set of mudflaps, hopefully pick it up on Monday.
