Assuming Les reads these pages occasionally, I thought is would be okay to post a poll on what seems like the most often made comment on 55 pages of the new TVR thread.

You know, for simplicities sake, in case Les is too busy to read it.

Ugly camp winning, however not by as much as I thought it would. Clever thing these polls. I thought the people who hated the front end would be in the majority 80/20.

Wise words, although not sure I can edit a poll. On the other hand giving only two options gives a clearer signal as to the general feeling. Seeing a bell curve stretched across five or six intermediate answers is probably not as helpful. After all the point of the poll is whether or not Les should change it, which is quite binary.

Really really really want TVR to be a success this time. Mind you I hated the Sagaris so what do I know.

I saw it at the Goodwood reveal and also at the NEC, and I think it looks better the more I see it .
It grows on you. Especially as you walk from the front to the 3/4 side view, that cheery mouth appears to morph into a fierce GRRRRR! You cannot see this from the photos.

Also I am wondering how it will look with a front number plate fitted. That will make quite a difference.

I get your point, but I think most people, at least out in the wider community, would not go to see a car in the flesh that was ugly on the initial photos. Really if you have to stick a number plate on it to make it look reasonable you should be voting ugly.

I've said before I think the side profile is really nice and the back is distinctive, both plus points.

Can I ask as a last question where do people think the poll figures should be for a successful launch?

When a new ....say lambo or Ferrari comes out, I will ignore Porsche as their design department has effectively been asleep for a generation, where would the poll be.

Obviously every manufacturer would be aiming for 100% approval, but that isn't realistic. So what poll figures in focus groups do you think would make Ferrari do a redesign before an unveiling, and would we ever know about it ?
