Any suggestions for seat repair wire?

Whilst I have the seats out I'd like to repair some of the wiring under the seat.

Does anybody have any recommendations on what wire to use to use and any tips ?
At the moment I'm just thinking about the thin wires that go across.

Lots of good tips. Short term plan is to get the seat back in so I can drive her so its a quick fix for now and then potentially a bigger refurb later.

Rather than do the hessian and rubber combo though I'm considering a pair of rear automotive carpets, they are about the right dimension, have a fabric front and are quite strong. I'll then use some of the long cable ties as suggested for this first version. It all sounds quite Heath Robinson but it doesn't have to be long term and out of sight and all that... I'll take a few pics and if it works well post them up here for future use.
