Had a set of these shocks on my Griff for about 7 years now not covered a great deal of miles, and found one of the fronts was leaking oil. Contacted protech as I'd read on here they could do a pre booked while you wait rebuild, day off today and spare time, so thought I'd have a drive down to Wiltshire.
Smaller place than I'd thought it be, but busy, Kevin was waiting for me, and set about stripping the damper, found one of the springs on a seal had moved, and was letting fluid past, new seal, oil and put back together good as new in about 20 mins after I'd arrived.
And the best bit, didn't charge a penny, in fact wouldn't take a "drink " for his time, effort, and parts.
Just thought its nice to get very good service from parts suppliers, even when majorly out of warranty period.

This is why I posted it, always seem to hear negatives, no one mentions good service, and Kevin did say although he wouldn't accept payment, he would be OK with mentioning what they company had done . Any protech searches in the future will hopefully bring this thread up, so the level of customer care could well influence a potential buyer ..... good on protech.

Me again ..... and again Protech.

Had the car serviced a few weeks back, been having some noises from the rear, actually thought it sounded like the body flexing, more of a creak than a knock.
Asked the lads to have a look at David Gerald's, and they reported it was the rear shocks that seemed to be the issue, they phoned protech on my behalf, and asked how much to refurbish them, quoted £35 a side, which I thought was OK, and Nick who has nitrons thought was a bargain compared to what he paid to get his done.

So last week I whipped them off after emailing Kevin at protech, and sent them off. At work today and the wife rings and says my shocks have returned, bit quizzical, as I've heard nothing back I get in touch.

Kevin rebuilt the units, new bearings., foot valves, oil and seals, and had them on their shock dyno to test. And the cost for this work was ?...... FOC, and wished me a happy weekend.
Yet again can't fault their customer service and aftercare policy, a small (and it is a small place) British company worth their weight in gold, if you are in the market for some suspension, I'd really consider these guys.
