A bit random, but I've got a new double garage and I want to replicate the TVR logo on the back wall

Does anyone happen to have a breakdown of the dimensions of the font?

I'm looking to have it circa 180cm wide

Work in progress, but in the absence of being able to buy the old showroom 3D TVR logo, I'm having a go at replicating it myself for the garage wall :0)
Mine will measure about 135cm x 50cm
Image traced from a flag onto some plastic sheeting and then copied onto the hardboard sheet
Next step, is to cut out the sections that will eventually be for the purple plastic sheet to be visible through it
I'll then get to work on the 3Dness...

Initial cut out would make a great stencil. Just paint it all over the garage walls biggrin
Yes, it probably will :0)

Shouldn’t be too much longer before it’ll be on my wall between these two

Thanks for the comments. I wondered about back lighting, but didn't fancy the cable cluttering up the clutter free wall :0). I've had 24 spotlights recently fitted in there, so it is pretty bright and the sign reflects the light well

The panel is made of 3 sheets of hardboard, 3mm thick each

1st is the front facia with cut outs - spray painted in silver metallic paint
2nd is the panel upon which the purple vinyl sheeting is placed
3rd was used to pass wire through for the wall fixing

These panels were then all glued together

I cut the sections of the top panel out simply using a Stanley knife, I got through about 5 blades!

I used a metal ruler to help with the first 4/5 scribes and then the ruler wasn't needed and I could apply a bit more force whilst kneeling over it and using both hands, being careful such that if I slipped I wouldn't need an A&E trip

so to cut through the 3mm hardboard probably needed about 10 passes with the knife

I went with the knife because it leaves a crisp edge, anything else, such as a saw would 'fluff' up the edges

It turned out better than I expected if I'm honest and wasn't a costly exercise either
