My rears are coming to the end of there life and I have been looking to replace the dreadful run flats with standard tyres and come across a new brand " Davanti " OK I know what you are thinking and I was what the hell are these crap until I done some research online and infact for the price they are really good tyres for very little money and suppose to be on par and above branded makes.
My tyre supplier who I have been to for many years says don't waste my money on premium brands these are brilliant.
My sizes are :
275-35x19 - Back
245-40x19 - Front
RATINGS:
WET 100%
DRY 80%
C on the fuel efficiency.
Total cost just under £400 for all 4 fitted and balanced.

I wouldn't say that they was "cheap" at near £100 a corner and those people who has said they are Crap bullst have you actually tried them or is it just a Brand you have never heard from that makes you say they are rubbish.
It is not just a back street garage trying to sell me what ever they make the most profit on , I know the guy pretty well and he assures me they are a better than average tyre at a reasonable price.
Can't be worse than what I have on now Goodyear Excellence runflats a flip of the throttle and they always seam to spin the rears .....ok only 3-4mm remaining on the tyre and worn more on the inside for some reason, been told BMW do this and very common.
I may wait a little longer as they have not long been on the market so not an awful lot of reviews yet but the ones I have seen do look good.
New EU tyre labelling means every tyre is put through the same test Michelins , Pirelli , Dunlops or Davanti if they have the EU labelling they must all go through the same test and wet grip is 100% not even the branded tyres or should I say most of them do that.

They must be really good, he's not a regular poster but he's made an exception to his lurking role just to tell us how good his generic Chinese import tyres are. I think you are just being cynical.
I am only asking advice isn't that what this forums about and I don't actually own any Davanti tyres as you have stated, but you are right about me being cynical I trust no one only family. As for Lurking, I have not had a car worth talking about until last month unless you call a VW Bora is worth a Valid Talking point
Sorry I see you have posted a few thousand replies questions and replies so you must ne better than me, shall I call you Sir!

If you're just pootling around I can't see stty chinese tyres being too bad.
That is the most sensible reply I have had Yadizzle1. I have been driving for over 30 years and I would say I'm still a pretty sensible driver and if you going fast and taking risks in the wet and in the dark round bends and roads you don't know then you must accept what eventually will happen to you and it's these idiots why Insurance Premiums are so high.Edited by ljw2k on Sunday 24th January 01:53

Terrible grammar. "Don't trust no one but family" attitude. Running a Beamer on a shoestring. Gets grumpy when people who know tell him his Chinese Ditchfinders will not be better than a grand's worth of Pirelli. Thinks that the answer to having fitted crap tyres is to just drive slower everywhere.
Yup, got your number.
I'm out.
Bad grammar ...Sorry Mr prefect I didn't realise it was an English test!!Yup, got your number.
I'm out.
I don't trust anyone that's just me but this don't mean I have an attitude. I don't know any members on this forum.
who said I'm on a shoestring as it was just a question not an appraisal.
I am here to take advise as everyone will have there own views on different brands but no need to be rude.
I know a grand's worth of Pirelli tyres should out perform Chinese brands, I would like to know if anyone has these on their car if so any comments.
"Yup got your number " What do you mean by this?.....please lock the gate behind you.

I have Goodyear Excellence run flats on at the moment and being honest they don't give me any confidence whatsoever. I use to own a BMW 530D last year ( Winter time ) which had Michelin Alpen 4's all round and I thought they was brilliant although the car I have now has a little more power maybe I should lay off the right foot a little more
I don't like the run flats ride its a little harsh to say the least hence me looking for standard tyres.
I was originally looking at Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 but they have not got my size yet for the rears 275-35x19 they have the fronts 245-40x19 in stock most places.

I would usually only put branded tyres on my car always have done. When I need tyres I usually always look on tyre review sites to see what's best and looking at http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Davanti/DX640.ht... on paper they looked pretty good hence why I made the post here asking for advise.
Jeez....This thread has heated up.
I have a few months left on my current tyres before they will need replacing. As mentioned above (somewhere) the Davanti brand is a fairly new brand with very little information. I have no association with them so let's get that out first, how people can say they are crap by just following the trends is silly and non constructive.
I suppose time will give me my answer thumbs up or down as more people start to post there own honest reviews online.
At the moment Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 Fronts and rears when they hit the UK market in the next few months.
Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 - 245/40 R19 98Y - EBay £124.99 Delivered and around a tenner to fit.

Just like the shoe analogy I posted a couple of pages back, I don't need to actually buy Tommy Hilfinger Aftershave off the market to know that it will smell like ass.....
Its called 'Common Sense'. Your right about it being a unique skill. Though only comparatively.
I never thought of comparing old aftershave with a new brand tyre is there a mathematical equation for this or is it just assumption? Its called 'Common Sense'. Your right about it being a unique skill. Though only comparatively.
Everything r11co has said in this Thread makes common sense to me how do you know Davanti tyres are no good please explain as comparing them to other brands without any evidence is not valid. Already a forum member has replied to say he has the Davanti tyres on his wife's car and they perform well.
Another video on YouTube..... for anyone that is interested! youtube.com/watch?v=Mdbm54Na09c

I'll go by what a decent number of independent reviews say, if they turn out to be good, then that's great.
Until then, given most budget tyres are pretty naff compared to typical mid-range brands, I will assume these don't suddenly buck the trend.
Would you say £100 is a budget tyre compared to say Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 @£124 compared to a Radar or Accelera @£45-£50?Until then, given most budget tyres are pretty naff compared to typical mid-range brands, I will assume these don't suddenly buck the trend.
16 page reviews on their site http://www.davanti-tyres.com/Reviews

my hudl 2 broke , i left bad feedback on tesco direct, they deleted it.
I'm also very sceptical on the reviews on Davanti and spending £400 on a brand I have never heard of until a few days ago, already had to sell a kidney to get the car . What we need is totally independent Reviews.Edited by ljw2k on Tuesday 26th January 00:24
