Bentley GT Continental Mulliner 2005 Breaks.
Discussion
Hello,
i own a 2005 GT, my Drivers side Rear Break has started Scraping, (like it would if your pads were on the way out).
but only on this side.
i took it to the Garage and he said the Caliper is Seized and the Pads have worn right down.
i want to know if there is any way to un-seize it.
He said it looked like a VW Passat Caliper but we not prepared to try and fit one for safety reasons.
i looked online to find the Bentley Breaks are far more complex than i had seen before comprising of 10+ Parts.
the main parts seem to be the Caliper/Caliper Housing/Break Pad's/Electrical Sender(Brain).
i would like to know if i JUST need to find and buy a Caliper or weather i would need the electrical part as well.
and any recommendations of where i could get one would be great,
(tried FlyingSpares).
i do not understand how the caliper is seized if it is clearly pushing the pads in and out when i press the break. what exactly is seized?
Thanks Guys.
Nick.
