Hi, new here and only recently passed my test, my mechanical knowledge is next to zero currently!

I have a 05’ grand scenic 1.5, when I have the wheels straight, and turn slightly left OR right, there is a clunk/boing noise that I can also feel through the steering wheel, it only does it at the start of the turns (roughly 11 and 1 o’clock.)

Any idea what it could be?

Thanks guys, I got my daughter to turn the wheel while I was looking, the coil spring is vibrating every time it does it, I can’t see anything broken on it but I haven’t taken the wheel off or anything to look.

That suggests the problem may be in the top strut bearing as Cuprabob suggested.
Ok thanks, I don’t think I have the tools at the moment to take that apart, I’ll have to have a local garage look at it.
