PS4 tyres are down to two mil at the rear and not far off that at the front after less than 10000 miles. I was under the impression Michelin were good for their longevity? These tyres are on the family car. No track work just normal day to day driving with the odd boot now and again.

I'm interested to know if others had such experiences? I know we all have different driving styles, car size, weight etc but I find this quite a poor, or am i too unrealistic???

For info, the Cont. Sport Contact 5 that came with the car at delivery lasted to nearly 25k on the clock.

Now I do like these tyres but i'll have to have a browse around just now at options. Might even go back to Continental given the miles the last lot survived.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the replies so far folks. I'm not having a moan about it, just find it interesting to hear peoples experiences.

Some of you asked why I would put such tyres on 'the family car'. 300hp makes it fairly nippy. Sure I could spend 20-30 per corner less on say a Potenza but the PS4 has consistently scored very well amongst the testers so why not put on a car like mine?

When the Conti's came off (ok they were well worn) both the Mrs and I noticed a much better feel to the car.

Ironically I have just bought four more. Blackcircles were doing 10% off today so I ordered 4 at around £87 a tyre delivered. (225/40/18)

Cheers again.
