Seen some KYB front shocks for my Mazda on a couple of uk suppliers.
Issue is, it says they are compatible for my car when I enter the reg details… but it says” for left hand drive and without stop start “.. my car is right hand drive and does have stop start .. any ideas ? I didn’t know shocks were specific to which side the steering wheel is or it being stop start

It may be that the strut has an attachment bracket welded on that is for a different wiring/cable routing on the vehicles they say, and does not apply to your vehicle. The shock absorber performance may well be the same (however, some countries with rougher roads do have their own shock absorber), it’s may just be that it accommodates a routing fix for left hand drive cars.
Yep that is what I thought. Something to do with the cables and wiring.

You could try heading over to the KYB website & finding the correct part numbers for you vehicle in their online catalog, you can then compare to the part numbers listed to wherever you are looking.
Thanks! I did that, same result. See both the front shocks, say left hand drive only.
I actually have the rears fitted from KYB no problem, but as you see, the rears do say " Right hand drive "

Not an issue. I can always get genuine parts instead smile
