This is at the rear of my front arches. Been quoted around £400 from a chap I used recently but I'd have thought that a decent job could be done without having to remove the arches given it's only on the face of the lip and it's not rust that's coming from the inside out.

Any recommended DIY options that would be worth a go as I don't have a spare £400 at the minute!

Looked into this more and I'll look to wire brush it down, use some bilt hamber deox gel on the bare metal then prime with electrox (zinc rich primer) and top coat.

There's bilt hamber hydrate 80 as well but I've read of that not really being compatible with the electrox primer.

Bilt hamber themselves have said just to use the electrox after the gel.

Only issue might be getting a wire brush into the top of the sill that's under the wing. That and choosing a paint to match Porsche basalt black.

Bilt Hamber is about as good as products get and the finish on the lip of the 987's is crap anyway.

A proper job is always going to be better and if you've got a spare £400 I'm all ears, I don't.
