ceramic car polish

Easy question, is ceramic car polish, snake oil or good?

So far looks like normal polish?

Yep, done a bit more reading. People say the are good until you need paint work done and then stripping them is a pain.
Looks like it would be good on parts of the car to help keep them clean and rust free?
