Hi Everyone,
I am due to have my first Aston Martin finish manufacture in a few weeks. I have told the dealer to hold fire in delivering the car as I am not sure on whether I should get the car detailed first and paint protected etc.

I am completely new to detailing and paint protection so hoping for some advice. The car is magnificent so I want it to be perfect before I start driving.

Any recommendations on what I should get done to the car if anything would be much appreciated. I have read about clear films and nano coating etc aswell so extremely confused to what I should do or what is best. I also need to know what is the best detailing process etc.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanking you guys in advance!

I would find a recommended professional detailer local to your area and get them to do a pre delivery detail / paint correction.
Talk to them about clear wraps or ceramic coating or sealants - all dependant on what you want / ease of maintenance etc

As above, find a respected detailer local to you that can talk you through the available options.

I think it is safe to say that 99% of new cars from the low volume brands need varying degrees of machine polishing prior to any application of paint coatings or ppf. This is usually down to the human element in the factory letting the side down.

cheers
