Just curious how many stone chips do you guys have on your bonnet and how many miles has your car covered? Wished I could add a poll

Mine has done 302k miles and I have 3 stone chips so one chip per 100k miles.

This is going to be a riveting thread.

None that I'm aware of, and I'm quite a sad git so I spend to much time cleaning my car so i would probably know.

However I go on a fair amount of run outs so I'm bound to be due a few frown

About 19500 miles, and about 15 chips. Although, it is a cheap car so will have "cheap" paint, and I drive more miles on country roads and motorways than I do in the town. Both mean I am far more susceptible to damage than the average commuter going from one end of town to the other.

fking too many to count. Perils of having a car with a low nose. Dealer can respray on trade in.

I have a whole cluster of stone chips on one side, but far fewer on the opposite side on my 100k mile shed. I've thought about having it resprayed but then I'd get precious about it, which isn't the point of a shed. Not sure why it appears to have been shot blasted on one side though.

My 68k mile P&J has a few very minor marks, generally been kept a good distance from traffic ahead since the front end respray in 2015. Didn't use it much last winter.

56yo Landie? Stone chips are the last of its problems.

Fantastic trolling biggrin

I recently bought a car to turn a few quid on, the worst of the stone chips are on the roof for some reason and have been ignored so they now resemble spiders.
I'm just hoping a dwarf buys it.
