Someone scratched my car, estimated cost.

Someone scratched my car. Never been hit before, I know who it was they left me a note. It’s gone through the paint I think because the black bits are in (if that makes sense). Estimated cost? Don’t really want to go through insurance because I have heard that even if it’s their fault my premium will go up??

Any help from PH would be excellent.

If we do it through insurance and she claims full liability, then will I lose my 2 years NCB

Sorry mate, im new to all of this. So do I even need to call my insurance? So aslong as she claims liability i'll keep my NCB?
