Hello,

Looking for a new vacuum cleaner, what does anyone recommend?

Had a Dyson Animal cylinder recently, it was good for the car, but useless on the house carpets......suction head too powerful and could not be turned down....so swapped it for a Big Ball....better for the house, but too awkward to use on the car.

So what do you guy's recommend on here?

Henry?
Dyson cylinder?
Hoover?

Would be interested in your opinion........budget ideally <£100.....but could stretch if worth it.

I like soft bristle heads for interior dashboard cleaning, long extension for nooks and crannies and leave extraction under windscreen scuttle.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Well, I finally made a decision...….

I purchased a VAX machine, 900W, various attachments and a turbo bristle cleaner....should be good for the mats I thought. Well, suction power is brilliant, good length of cable and hose......but sadly handle is ergonomically awful - too long and bent. To add to that the turbo bristle is simply at the wrong angle.....has to be held flat against the mats to clean them.

On top of this the crevice cleaners are simply too wide and big for getting into the nooks and crannies on the car.

So, my next question is.....does anyone have a Henry hoover and are they any good for cleaning the car to a high standard? What are the attachments like, do they work well on a car that gets pretty dirty due to my daughters eating disorder and ability to make the cleanest environment look like zoo feeding time !!

Appreciate any help / advice / opinions...….this is beginning to bug me as I thought it would be simple to pick a replacement hoover to simply clean a car !

….second decision on vacuum made.....henry, but with petcare head....and also a few accessories.
In the end it was the attachments which can be added that made the decision. There is a wide variety within the 32 - 35mm hose diameter.
Power is 620w, not great but should be enough....only downside is the bags, I don't like paying for them....but that is the Henry technology and not bagless.
I'll let you know how it goes......did find a garage vac that I nearly bought but it was £300- and that is a bit too much.
