Rear lower door arch protector? for a ford?

I have rust which I have a solution to turn it into a diferent compound but I want to cover it up afterwards rather than paint it as the paint is very slowly peeling away. So perhaps a colour matched decal or specially made cover for this part of the car? A mechanic told me about such things but I haven't found one for specifically this area.

It's where a previous owner let the seat belts hit the bottom of the door frame. I have appplied rust converter, I'll use touch up paint and I will have find some clear vinyl to cut to shape to stick over the top before it gets worse. It's in an area where the vinyl will have to go around a bend and fold over so I will have to figure that bit out ha although I remember that vinyl is stretchy.
