Removing wax from plastics

Like a great big berk, I got Turtle Wax all over the plastic trim on my 318ti Sport Compact (I know it's slower than many (most?) of the vehicles here but she's mine and I love her).
Many washes later, and the stylish white marks seem very reluctant to leave; they don't look as though they're fading at all!
Before I break out the toothbrush and embark on a really rather tedious job, is there a Trade Secret for getting this stuff off in an easy and safe (for my paintwork) manner?
